Top Graphics Cards for Crysis 3

When it comes to graphics cards there are only two companies NVIDIA and AMD, I will be looking at the best from both companies and comparing them side by side.

We all want to experience the best graphics/performance, since crysis was released back in 2007 we required more power from the GPU and now that Crysis 3 has been out for a couple of weeks I’ve been asked which graphics card would be the best to experience the most from this game.

The EVAGA GeForce GTX 680 is not the latest from Nvidia but in my opinion it’s still the best that they have produced in a while. The card contains new GeForce architecture which will handle any game that you throw at it even the latest from Crytek. The EVGA GeForce GTX 680 will deliver smoother,faster and richer gaming experience and all this without dropping performance.

The 680 is by far a top of the range graphics and if one just isn’t enough then you could upgrade to SLI which will deliver 8GB of memory.

Benchmark Results:

As we can see from the results above the GTX 680 is more than capable to handle crysis 3 in very high setting and still have a good frame rate. The lowest that it dropped was 30/31 which it’s did not make much of difference. This is the reason that my first choice is the GTX 680.

2. Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 3GB

The Sapphire HD 7970 contains the recently announced AMD PowerTune technology which will intelligently manage the clockspeed, voltage and performance this means that it will perform even better in game. The HD 7970 runs at 950MHz but with PowerTune I was able to achieve up to 1000MHz with the memory clock running at 5800MHz.

This HD 7970 was more than cable to handle Crysis 3 and any other game that I tested barely dropping FPS.

The card comes with Sapphire TriXX which will enable the user to tune key parameters to achieve maximum performance from the card.

3. EVGA GeForce GTX670 2GB

My third and final choice is the EVGA GeFroce GTX 670 and the reason for this is mainly the price of this card is not as high as my other choices but its a very good price for a card that can handle crysis 3 on very high settings.

I tested crysis 3 on all settings, during my testing on very high settings the FPS dropped to 15 which it’s not a good rate. The main reason that this card it’s up here it’s because if you have settings which are a mixture of both very high, high and medium you will be able to achieve 35 avg FPS.

The EVGA GeForce GTX 670 is truly a gaming card its performance very well on crysis 3 and its can handle any other game on very high settings. The card contains the new the new GeForce architecture which improve gaming performance.
